Long story. I was experiencing firewire bandwidth problems. I had my Apollo Quad and two hard drives running off the same built in firewire port of my Mac Pro. I added a firewire pcie card that I am now running the hard drives off of(I would have much preferred to add a Thunderbolt card to my Mac, but UA doesn't support 3rd party Thunderbolt cards. I won't get into how crazy I think that is here). After installing the pcie card and starting the system up I received this error message:
'One or more UAD plug-ins have been disabled.
The plug-in was unable to load because the
authorization file is out of date. (-60)
Would you like to like to visit the Universal Audio website to
download the latest authorization file?'
I click yes. I go to UA's website. I reload my authorizations. That fixed all my plug-ins except for the UAD 610 A and B plugs. I reload them twice again and make sure to restart the whole system. Still won't work. Even tried again this morning just to make sure I wasn't crazy. Mind you that while I bought the 610B, the 610A comes with the Apollo. The Apollo is still running off the same firewire port as before where it worked fine besides the bandwidth problems and running the drives off the new port seems to have fixed my bandwidth problem. I can open about 9 or 10 OWS plugs before bandwidth is exceeded. So just these two plug-ins won't work: 610A and 610B.
I'm on OS10.8.4 and UAD 7.7.0
